Another Thought

Caroline Walls  is an Australian artist working across a number of media, including painting, drawing, soft sculpture, and printmaking. We are particularly fond of Another Thought, a series of fifteen paintings exploring the female body, the forms and the construction of self and identity, portrayed in a semi-abstract way.

 

 

Perhaps You Can't Even Begin To Imagine...

Round the corner from the W&M workshop, Clapton-based gallery Lubomirov/Angus-Hughes is having a opening of the new exhibition Perhaps You Can't Even Begin To Imagine... tonight (13th October). 

Rolina E. Blok has curated a show of a antithetic group of London artists, challenging the idea of imagination. The imagination has played a central role in human cognitive activity, in much of western thought, from the seventeenth to the nineteenth century.  [..]  During the Romanticism, it was attributed enormous powers, and was seen as underlying all forms of creativity.  [..] The central aims of the exhibition is to explore some of the different conceptions of imagination that can be found in western philosophical thought and to introduce and elucidate some of the philosophical issues that arise concerning imagination and creativity.

 

HENRI

London based designer Henrietta Adams draws inspiration from strong, graceful women when creating practical, elegant everyday wear for her clothes brand Henri. Made from organic cotton she offers a modern take on timeless classics, designed with longevity and sustainability in mind (we have a weak spot for this grey over shirt!). This is the last weekend of her pop-up shop in London, The Henri Store, where you can also find other lovely things by REN London, ZM Jewellery, PICO and Ottowin.
