IWD: 10 Women-Owned Small Businesses to Follow

 

To celebrate International Women's Day, we're spotlighting some fabulous small businesses founded by women. A few of of the small businesses featured here are ran by some of our talented W&M makers, being a small team of women and non-binary folk.

1. Emily Bailey Jewellery @emilybaileyjewellery

 

 

Emily makes cast creations using the ancient jewellery making techniques of cuttlefish, wax and sand casting. Her work celebrates the natural texture of the mould mimicking the natural decay of ancient treasures.

Amy makes these gorgeous beaded homewares pieces from candlestick holders to coasters and accessories. Original and fun pieces to have in your home that sparkle in the light.

As well as being our Tea Time star on our Instagram stories, Bella also handmakes her own bumbags using waterproof fabrics in a variety of styles and sizes. We love the lilac and orange combo!

A radiant selection of flora jewellery designed to be an extension of one’s love for nature. Every piece is individually handcrafted by founder Faye. We love the moth orchid earrings!
 

5. Shauna Cribbin Art @shaunacribbin

 

 

Shauna’s work explores themes of escapism, aspiration and hope for working class women, concerned with systems of value of taste through the mediums of collage, print and sculpture. You can browse Shauna's art on her website and DM to purchase.
