A Crafty TV Show

For all you fellow crafters out there, The Great British Sewing Bee is back. Filling the void of GBBO which won’t air until later this year, the show follows 12 amateur sewers as they create everything from sun dresses to utility jackets. Great inspiration if you’re a sewer yourself and are looking for home projects to start this spring.

New Spring Jewellery

Not to toot our own horn, but we’re obsessed with our new Daffodil pieces. If you’re looking for some new jewellery to jazz up your spring look, look no further. Our Daffodil Pearl Studs are proving to be a bestseller so far, but we’re also loving the Statement Earrings for evening drinks and the Daffodil Necklace teamed with a white shirt for a dainty floral touch, perfect for everyday.

An at Home Wine Bar

If you’re still more comfortable staying at home, but are getting a little bit jealous of everyone (and yes we mean everyone) on social media out and about at fancy restaurants, don’t let FOMO get the better of you. For a nice, but sophisticated Friday night in, why not order some specialty wine straight to your door.

Diogenes the Dog is based in south London, and are an independent wine bar selling undiscovered wines from unlikely places from Texas to China.

One-of-a-kind interior items

If you can’t get yourself to a car boot, or are not in the mood to traipse through your high street charity shops, we'd recommend giving online vintage shopping a go. We’ve found some great online brands over lockdown, and this week we stumbled upon another.

‘Yesterday, Today’ is a online marketplace selling one of a kind clothing, interiors and accessories. We love the framed art, lamp shades and vases to add character to our living spaces.

An art exhibition

If you’re looking for something more cultural to do in place of another afternoon in a pub garden, art galleries around the country are open! We’ll be heading to the Pippy Houldsworth Gallery (just off Piccadilly Circus) to see Becoming water form the same source exhibition by Phumelele Tshabalala. Exploring self-exploration and identity, sparked by the artists relocation from the United States back to his hometown Johannesburg.

If you’re not in London or are not in the mood to go to the centre of the city, you can view the exhibition virtually too! Open until May 1st.

And another!

On the subject of art exhibitions, we have another we’re desperate to get to. Dexter Dalwood: Collages 1999-2011 is open at the Simon Lee Gallery until the 8th May. The pieces are surprisingly relevant to today, depicting a range of interiors and lived-in spaces much like what we’ve been seeing for the past year.

Head to central London and hit these two galleries at the same time. Alternatively, this one also has an online showroom.

A new lunch box

If you’re slowly heading back to work like us at W&M HQ, you’ll need to get back into the swing of meal-prepping ready for lunch.
