As an independent brand, we are experiencing first-hand the impact Coronavirus in having on the UK retail market, and we are truly grateful for all the wonderful support that we have been receiving.
During this strange time, it's even more important to support small, independent brands and we're challenging ourselves and others to shop small, local and independent to help keep these vital businesses running through these tough times.

If you're looking to spruce up your home during lockdown, we recommend looking at KPJ's gorgeous screen printed textiles and lifestyle goods. With everything from cushions and rugs to t-shirts and even phone cases, Katherine Plumb's distinctive designs are giving us the colourful spruce we need.

Liv & Dom prove that business smarts, impeccable taste and creativity do in fact run in the family. This sister duo are behind some of our favourite ceramics. Inspired by the female form, as seen in their famous incense holders, Liv & Dom's hand-painted products make gorgeous gifts for friends and family.

Is anyone else drinking 10x more cups of tea whilst working from home? We know we are. But thankfully, we've got our hands on some gorgeous mugs by London based designer and maker Louise Mediza. Her illustrated ceramics are making us feel less guilty about breaking our 'no caffeine after 3pm' rule.

Apart from being one of our favourite brands to follow on Instagram (if you haven't seen #dressupanyway, check it out), L.O.M are keeping the party alive with their ultra-colourful clothing. If you're planning ahead for a post-lockdown party or are motivated enough to dress up for your Saturday night Zoom calls, L.O.M have some great pieces.

If you don't want to commit to new clothing that you're not going to be wearing anytime soon, a smaller but still satisfying step is treating yourself to new underwear. We're a big fan of the pastel-hued and sustainable stance of the Copenhagen fashion scene, including one of our new discoveries Hvisk. A Peta-approved brand that focusses on elevating personal style with statement accessories in faux leather and playful colours.

Bug Clothing's Amy Ward keeps sustainability at the forefront of her business. Using deadstock fabrics (made from only natural fibres) and making each garment by hand in her studio in Wales, Bug Clothing make everyday clothing that you'l want to keep forever.

Although only founded in 2018, The Completist, run by power couple Marko and Jana, are already well-known for their colourful stationery. With everything you would need from desk supplies to gift wrapping, they have you covered. We're keeping track of the days in quarantine with one of their daily planners!
